About me

I grew up immersed in football, playing from the age of 8 through to 21. My journey took me from local boys’ teams to competing at regional level among some of the best players in Dublin. Along the way, I experienced both setbacks and successes from injuries and deselection to the privilege of captaining my team for six years. During that time, we lifted trophies together and, just as importantly, built lasting friendships.

Since stepping away from competitive football, I’ve challenged myself through endurance sports including HYROX, triathlons, and marathons. These events allow me to practice the same principles of mental resilience, focus, and preparation that I now promote in my work with athletes. Sport has always been more than competition for me—it’s been about growth, connection, and testing both body and mind.

My Approach

I view sport psychology as a tool for life, not just performance. Athletes face adversity, pressure, and identity challenges that mirror broader life demands. Sports psychology benefits everyone by teaching consistency, patience, and mastering the everyday basics, tailored to each individual's needs.

My journey as an athlete and person shapes my practice. I understand the struggles with mindset, identity, and the "dark side of sport". Sport is in part defined by its uncertainty, its requirement for effort, and its capacity to make or unmake one’s esteem, anybody truly invested in sport risks their ego. I truly appreciate what athletes sacrifice to the pursuit of excellence, in the name of entertainment, patriotism, and the advancement of human potential. I want to help you reach that potential without burning yourself out or losing the love before getting there.

My goal is to help athletes thrive in their sport while building transferable skills for a high-performing, fulfilling life. Whether we’re working on mindset, confidence, resilience, or identity, success for me isn’t about medals or trophies. It’s about subtle shifts that change how someone moves through their sport and life: more self-belief, more ease under pressure, and a stronger connection to who they are beyond performance.
