About me

Molly Doyle BSc, MSc, AAAS, M.Ps.S.I.

Before working in sport, I spent over two years in the mental health and social care sector, supporting vulnerable populations including the elderly, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those struggling with addiction. This shaped how I work today, with empathy, clarity, and a strong focus on the person behind the performance.

As an athlete myself, I understand the pressure to perform, the frustration of setbacks, and the constant pull to “do more” or be better. My work now sits at the intersection of performance, wellbeing, and identity, helping athletes develop confidence, consistency, and resilience, without burning out or losing enjoyment in their sport.

Alongside applied work, I remain actively engaged with research, with a particular interest in sport, exercise, mental health, and wellbeing. This ensures my practice is grounded in current evidence while remaining practical and relevant to the real demands athletes face.

I currently work one-to-one with athletes across a range of sports, including youth and competitive performers as well as work with teams and national governing bodies.

My Approach

I view sport psychology as a tool for life, not just performance. Athletes face adversity, pressure, and identity challenges that mirror broader life demands. Sports psychology benefits everyone by teaching consistency, patience, and mastering the everyday basics, tailored to each individual's needs.

My journey as an athlete and person shapes my practice. I understand the struggles with mindset, identity, and the "dark side of sport". Sport is in part defined by its uncertainty, its requirement for effort, and its capacity to make or unmake one’s esteem, anybody truly invested in sport risks their ego.

My goal is to help athletes thrive in their sport while building transferable skills for a high-performing, fulfilling life. Whether we’re working on mindset, confidence, resilience, or identity, success for me isn’t about medals or trophies. It’s about subtle shifts that change how someone moves through their sport and life: more self-belief, more ease under pressure, and a stronger connection to who they are beyond performance.

I take a person first, collaborative approach. I meet you where you are, acknowledging your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Rather than imposing solutions, I help you develop insight, identify your values, and take actions that align with who you want to be —

both as an athlete and as a person.
